Crash Tests & Seatbelt Failures in Accidents

As the lawyer trying to help people injured in car wrecks, I’ve always thought it was important to know the effect of various impacts on the occupants of vehicles. I look for new information regularly. Of course with the advent of the internet and youtube the amount of data out there is incredible.

The attached pictures show an actual crash test I attended. It was extremely interesting. If you or your loved one are badly hurt in a wreck, and for example, the investigating officer determines that they didn’t have their seatbelt on you should have that double checked.

We have discovered seatbelt failures and other safety problems with the vehicle itself. You want this looked at sooner than later so there isn’t any question anything else has been done to the car since the wreck, but I have looked at and successfully pursued cases where we didn’t get the car until over a year later, it just depends on where it has been stored and what has happened to it in the meantime.
