Mike Borland
Graduated from Baylor Law School with honors, sixth in his class of one hundred and sixteen, in 1981. He was Notes and Comments editor of the Baylor Law Review, and a member of The Order of Barristers. His preferred areas of practice are Personal Injury and Immigration. Mr. Borland has been active in the representation of over 200 clients with claims resulting from breast implants and of Fen-Phen use, including extensive consulting and referral work as lead counsel in these areas of practice for other law firms. He has now combined his interest and varied experience in complex areas of law with his love of Spanish, to expand into immigration law and immigration litigation.

He is Board Certified in Immigration and Nationality Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, a distinction held by only 121 attorneys in Texas, and by only four attorneys practicing west of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. His personal injury practice includes Oil Field, Refinery and Petrochemical Processing Facility serious injury and death cases, of which the firm currently has three active cases, two being death cases and the other a permanent total disability case. He handles both employer gross negligence death claims and third party negligence claims in these areas of practice.

Mr. Borland is admitted to practice before all Texas State and U.S. District Courts, The U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and The United States Supreme Court, and has appellate experience in Texas Courts of Appeal, the Texas Supreme Court, the Board of Immigration Appeals, the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and the U. S. Supreme Court. He is a member of The Texas Bar Association, The Bar Association of the Fifth Federal Circuit, the American Immigration Lawyers Association and its Texas Chapter. He is fluent in Spanish, is an instrument rated pilot and a member of Mensa.
